TIE & DYE

Tie-&-dye is a technique where fabric is tied or folded in intricate patterns & then immersed in dye. The tied areas resist the dye & remain the original colour, creating a pattern of different coloured areas on the fabric.

Bandhani (or bandhej) is one of the oldest dyeing techniques in India. Shibori & clamp dyeing are traditional Japanese dyeing techniques and have now been practised in India for years.
